Eckstein, Assaf

Assaf studied at the Moshe Sharett Primary School in Kiryat Ono and graduated from the Ben Zvi High School in the physical-physical track, and was a student at the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement and later led young students. He was one of the dancers of the “Alumim” dance group of Kiryat Ono, and was active as a sensitive, active and loyal friend of all those around him. There, too, he stood out for his accomplishments in his studies and athletic ability. At the end of the course the pilot was converted into transportation, a type of flight that suited his character. In a letter of condolence to the family, Chief of Staff Ehud Barak wrote: “Assaf was described by his commanders as a responsible, organized officer with high motivation and aspiration to advance, was highly respected by his commanders and friends, At Lod Air Force Base.
