Eckhauser, Baruch (Bernardo)
Son of Aharon and Rivka. He was born on March 14, 1930 in Warsaw, Poland. After a year of blessedness, his family emigrated to Fresno, Argentina. From an early age, he aspired to immigrate to Israel, but his parents objected. When he was unable to convince them, at the age of 16, he moved to Buenos Aires, where he worked and earned his living expenses, and in 1949 immigrated to live in his uncle’s home, where he wrote long-awaited letters to Eretz Israel from the diaspora. . In a short period of time he reached the rank of sergeant, even though he was a candidate for an officers’ course, but an action against infiltrators put an end to his young life. On this day, on December 27, 1950, he was wounded and died of his wounds, -Isaac.
