Drobin, Yoel
Son of Sarah and Eliezer and grandson of Yoel Drobin, the founder of Rishon Letzion. He was born on April 26, 1926 in South Africa, but lived from his childhood in Rishon Letzion. For a while he also served as a guard. On May 9, 1947, he was sent as a platoon commander to the vicinity of Kfar Uriya for a tour and preparation of a training program. On his way back he was attacked by Arabs from the village of Beit Jiz and killed on the spot. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Rishon Letzion.
