Dreibelt, Yitzhak Mordechai (“Moti”)

Son of Yosef and Chaya. He was born on 16 October 1951 in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, and attended the Kalisher Elementary School in Tel Aviv. During his leisure time, he worked in sports and especially in soccer. After graduating from elementary school, he prepared to study interior architecture and furniture. He dealt with this work, but rejected his studies until after his military service. He was naturally a Simcha guy, he loved music, poetry and theater. He was a good son and a good brother and he was kind and generous with everyone. He always helped others and asked nothing of anyone, for he could make do with what he had. Moti was drafted into the IDF in mid-November 1969 and assigned to the Supply Corps On August 10, 1971, two years after his enlistment, Corporal Motti was killed while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The family received a letter of condolence from the commander of his unit, in which he wrote: “Moti did not get to be in our unit for a long time, but in the short time we were in the unit we were able to meet a loyal friend who was always full of life and who always loved to do everything he was entrusted with love and devotion. He worked as a driver and did his job very efficiently, never grumbling or complaining despite the heavy workload, and the smile never stopped.
