David was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement and was one of its founders in Maalot. He completed his studies as a mechanical locksmith, and when he reached the army, he wanted to serve in the army, like other members of his age. However, he encountered difficulties because of his medical history. David did not accept his military service, insisted and volunteered for the IDF in June 1981. In November 1982, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and on May 3, 1983, David complained of aches and turned to a military doctor. He was given a short vacation and returned to his home, and there he died. He was 22 years old when he died. David was laid to rest at the Ma’alot cemetery.
