Connorti, Chaim (Victor)
Born in Bulgaria in 1923 and immigrated to Israel in 1944. In Bulgaria, he was a member of Betar and saw himself as a mobilizer for the struggle of the Yishuv while abroad, and when he arrived in Palestine he immediately joined the battle against the British. He was imprisoned in Latrun and then deported to Africa, where he was arrested in Asmara and Kenya, and was discharged from Mandate Palestine during the War of Independence. He participated in several battles, and recently, in Kfar Kara, fell on Sunday, 3 November 1948. He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
