Cohen, Ziv


The youngest son of Haya and Yosef, was born on May 3, 1965, in Ayelet Hashahar, where he began his studies at the “Mevo Galil” elementary school in Ayelet Hashahar and completed his studies at the Hula Valley High School in the village Blum, who passed the matriculation exams, said of his teacher: “He was a Yaffa, Simcha boy, who loved life and people.” His instructor remembers that “a smile of kindness and optimism was on his face. Ziv joined the IDF at the end of January 1984 and volunteered for an elite unit in the navy. On Friday, May 4, 1984, Ziv fell during his service and was put to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Ayelet Hashahar. After they fell, he was promoted to sergeant. Ziv left behind two parents and a brother. In his memory, and in memory of his friend Raz Landsman who fell with him, the families and the kibbutz published a memorial booklet
