Son of Masoudi and Raphael, was born on the 9th of Cheshvan 5762 (9.11.1965) in Jaffa. In his youth, Shimon was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement. He loved sports and played football and basketball, loved music and spent a lot of time with his friends at dances. Shimon had a sense of humor, and his appearance was kind. He was connected to his family and friends. Despite his cheerfulness, Shimon was introverted in his character, shy and quiet, rarely talking about himself and his problems. He studied at the Weizmann elementary school in Jaffa. Shimon studied at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school for a short time, but was forced to leave his studies and go to work to help support the family. During the day, Shimon worked in the Amidar archive, and in the evening he studied for an external matriculation exam. He was highly intelligent and you could talk to him about many different issues. In July 1984, Shim’on enlisted in the IDF, where he was asked to follow the path of his older brother and serve in the Golani reconnaissance unit, but was placed in the engineering company of the Golani Brigade. On December 19, 1984, Shimon was found dead in the training area of ​​his unit, when he was 19 years old when he died, and the commander of his unit wrote to his family: “Shimon volunteered to serve in the Golani Brigade and chose to follow the elder.
