Cohen (Iraqi) Shalom

Born in 1929 in Sana’a, Yemen, he was three years old with a family in Israel, and Shalom graduated from an elementary school in Holon and later went on to become a Palmach recruits in Kibbutz Kinneret. Where he spent two years before the War of Independence, during which he practiced. He served in the Givati ​​Brigade and was a brave and kind soldier. Shalom fell on the 5th of Iyar 5708 (May 12, 1948) near Deir Ayoub, in a convoy to Jerusalem, and was put to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
