Son of Menachem and Miriam. Born in Holon on 19 September 1950. He studied at the Bialik Elementary School in Holon and was a member of a youth movement, then moved to an agricultural high school in Nahalat Yehuda where he completed his studies. When he realized that the silence was good, he saw the reality with great clarity, and he looked at it perfectly, without succumbing to his feelings, and was drafted into the IDF in November 1966 and assigned to the Armored Corps. On July 27, 1969, more than six months after his enlistment in the IDF, Gil fell in battle in the Suez Canal area and was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. : “During the short period when Gil was under my command, he turned out to be one of the best soldiers in the unit. He proved diligence and ability at work and fit into social life. Gil did not aspire to stand out and modesty was one of the nicest qualities blessed. His behavior and accomplishments always attested to his Yaffa personality. “
