Cohen, Binyamin Ze’ev (Zevik)


Binyamin Ze’ev, son of Eliyahu and Esther Cohen, was born on March 19, 1944 in Jerusalem. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1961. After serving in the IDF as a captain in the Intelligence Corps and as a Field Security Officer, he was willing to volunteer for any position and was an exemplary figure of a dedicated commander. During the battle for the release of Chen Yunis, on the first day of the battles of the Six-Day War, the 26th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967) Binyamin Ze’ev fell. He was buried in the emergency military cemetery in Bari and later was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
