Cohen, Avraham (Avi)


Son of Victoria and Samuel. He was born on January 4, 1967 in Tirat Hacarmel. He began his elementary studies at the Sprinzak School at the Aliyah gate. He spent one year studying in Arad at the Ye’elim School. He continued his high school studies at the Leo Baeck School at the Aliyah gate and completed thirteen years of study at the Air Force Technical School in Haifa, where he was a sports fan who judged soccer at youth leagues, participated in long runs, loved folk dances and songs Ben-Ne’eman was a brilliant and vigilant leader of the neighborhood, loyal to his parents and devoted to his family, proud of his brother and especially of the little brother, who had a great pain and care for him. In the middle of March 1987, Avraham was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Hao City, as an aircraft mechanic. His commanders noted his high qualifications as an F-16 mechanic and an excellent athlete who led the squadron to many sports victories and achievements and was thus loved and loved by all squadron soldiers. He was a bit shy and did not like to stand out and give orders to soldiers who were subordinate to him. His commander, Brigadier General Avner Raz, head of the equipment division, gave Avraham a document stating: “Your vigilance, dedication and initiative prevented serious damage to the F-16 aircraft.” 1989.) Avraham fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
