Cohen, Avi

Son of Rachel and Eliyahu. Was born on January 12, 1982, at Wolfson Hospital in Holon. Avi completed his studies in the brigade with great success and continued to high school at the Kiryat Sharet school in Holon, where he chose to study in the biological track with the intention of continuing to study medicine after his military service. Avi was a player on the basketball team of the school, in which he played in the high school league of high schools. With great excitement Avi left for the paratroopers’ formation and successfully passed the first day. In the morning run of the second day, on 23 Nisan, April 28, 2000, Avi collapsed and died, and he was eighteen years old. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Holon.
