Cohen, Aaron Nissim (Roni)
Ben Yaffa and Avraham. He was born on September 23, 1970 in Tel Aviv. He studied at Neta’im Elementary School and continued at ORT High School in Ramat Gan. Aharon was a member of the Scouts movement. He loved to read, studied music for four years at the conservatory, played mandolin and electric guitar, and loved good music. He also worked in sports, especially in lifting weights and running. He was a studious, sensitive fellow, with an impressive appearance, tasteful and solid, and in every business he aspired to perfection. Aharon was drafted into the IDF in early October 1989. He was appointed to serve in a maintenance force and was killed during his service and was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, leaving his parents, brother and sister, Yitzhak and Galia, in a letter of condolence to the family. The commander of the unit wrote: “Your son was kind to his commanders and his comrades and did his work faithfully, with devotion and perseverance.”
