Ben Ilana and Ezra. Born on 10.12.1975 in Yerushalayim, to Ronen, Oren, Moran and Eliran, his family lived in Moshav Tarom and spent the first years of his life in the moshav’s children’s home and kindergarten Nir began his studies at the Matityahu Regional School in Moshav Zalfon, where he studied until the end of grade 6. Nir’s first years, until he was twelve years old, were the happiest of his life, he grew up in a warm family atmosphere, his parents lavished him with infinite attention and love, Who was disciplined to his parents and devoted to his brother, and he was careful to treat them with respect and consideration, and a special bond was forged between Nir and his grandmother, and whenever he could, For example, when he reached the age of mitzvot, his father wanted to celebrate the event in the hall, but Nir realized that it was beyond the family’s possibilities and preferred to hold a modest ceremony at the Western Wall. Nir studied in four schools and not for nothing, and after graduating from elementary school, he chose to continue to the “Kiryat Noar” junior high school in Jerusalem after hearing from friends that he had a high level of studies there, but he did not like the social tasks. He wanted to move to another liberal school, both religious and social, and went to study at the agricultural school in Mikvah Israel, where he was particularly proud of his position as head of the institution’s sheep pen. He enjoyed taking care of them, going out with them to grazing and milking them. His love for the sheep did not surprise his parents, for as early as his childhood his interest in and enjoyment of the relationship with animals was conspicuous. Nir was happy at the agricultural school, but the distance from the house gave no rest to the parents who missed him, and to his father in particular, who made every effort to bring him home for further studies. Finally, Nir accepted his parents’ wishes and in the past two years studied at the Even HaEzer regional school in Moshav Naham, under the auspices of the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council. Nir Baruch is in love with life and man. He stood out with a bright smile that was always on his face, quickly became familiar with people and fit easily into every society and place to which he had come. He was active and accepted among his contemporaries. Among the activities he took part in was a member of the Bnei Akiva youth movement. Nir was a handsome boy and enjoyed extraordinary success with the sexes, although he was naturally shy. Prior to joining the IDF, Nir worked in a marketing company for cosmetics, and his work required him to perform in a representative garb – a colorful tie and a jacket – a completely different style from the “worn” clothes he wore every day. He was gifted with many talents and varied interests, including his talent for painting and love of music, which was expressed in frequent listening to pop music, in his well-played guitar, and singing in his evening voice. At the beginning of August 1994, Nir enlisted in the IDF, and at his request he was placed in a Border Police unit Nir asked who his childhood being a cop. Survived by his parents, three brothers and a sister. From a song written by the nurse, Moran: “A year passed at an extraordinary speed and I still can not believe it happened / I stand in front of a post bearing your name / I look at the picture on the wall / Look at the family and friends you leave /Looking at Mummy and Daddy with a painful look and asking myself why you could not part before you left? / Life without you is no longer the same, everything that was all over / So take care of yourself Dear Nir / Take care of yourself … “His friends, Sharon Gamliel and Sagi Rehavi, wrote:” … like a leaf in the autumn in the wind Nir Nir is gone / Nir is picked and his eyes are open / because he has not seen a world yet and there are those who will fulfill his dreams and no one will continue his youth. Nir, a candle we will breathe for you / In front of your open grave, we stood / in tears We filled your place / We will salute with glory and splendor only to you. Neri, you left us only good memories / and pictures with many smiles / And with your faith we refuse / We do not forget your image. “His family commemorated him in the synagogue in Moshav Tarom and on a memorial site in front of their home.
