Brimer, Raviv


The eldest son of Chana and Elisha. Born on October 24, 1960 in Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar, a third generation in the kibbutz, Raviv began studying at the “Mevo Galil” school in the kibbutz and completed his studies at the Hula Valley Regional High School in Kfar Blum. He was a player in the kibbutz basketball team, and was a great player in literature and art, film and music, both classical and pop, from childhood he was interested in various fields of science and showed them knowledge and knowledge. In Raviv’s book of compositions from the school period, one can discern a sense of observation and humor combined with seriousness beyond his age. For example, during one of the trips, when they passed the Peri Hagalil factory and saw a stinking sewage canal, immediately gave it the name of the Mississippi River, and on the other hand wrote an article entitled ‘Giving up life for the ideal’. After graduating, he volunteered with his friends in the Oded group for a third year of service in the development town of Yokne’am, where he guided local youth. Raviv was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in late October 1979. He successfully completed all stages of the training and was certified as a full-time pilot and a pilot took part in the Peace-Galilee War.
