Boyko, Arie (“Amatzia”)


Son of Rivka (nee Goldzmed) and Peretz. He was born in Poland in 1920. He was one of the first activists in the Irgun cells in Poland and served as a liaison between Etzel members and their sympathizers, and in 1939 Aryeh began to work in the accounting department of “DATAT” , Whose editor was Natan Yellin Mor, whose relationship with Natan Yellin Mor was marked by friendship and closeness, and they even managed to immigrate to Israel together after Shilin Mor managed to obtain forged permits from the consulate in Istanbul. As the liaison officer of the underground commander, Yair, because he was unfamiliar to the British authorities in Palestine, and in December 1941 he arrived at the apartment, which served as a meeting place, to hand over instructions from Yair. Before this arrest, a detainee was detained in the camp at Atlit and later arrested in Mazra and Latrun, where he escaped, and was arrested by the police. He had ambitions to be sent to combat operations, but his commanders assigned him cultural roles, because he had a high intelligence and a broad education, and was disappointed and depressed. His roommate noticed that his mental state was precarious, but because he was preoccupied with underground activity, he could not find out what was causing it. On the 15th of Av 5705 (15.7.1945) he died at the time of his service and was put to eternal rest in the cemetery of Nahalat Yitzhak, and his character and deeds are mentioned in the book he wrote about him and in the book “The Man Who Made the Vow” by Anshel Spielman.
