Bashari, Moshe

Bashari, Moshe

Son of Shim’a and Salem, was born in 1926 in the city of Nadra in Yemen and received a traditional education. In 1942 he immigrated to Israel, as the first member of his family, and he was a 16-year-old boy, who had left his mother and lived alone. He studied at Magdiel for six months. He later enlisted in the Nutras and the British Army. He spent the years of peace, after his release, in Pardes Hanna, in the Yemenite neighborhood, alternately as an agricultural laborer and as a shoemaker (in this profession he specialized in his youth). He was a healthy guy, strong and brave, and excelled in fighting ability. Since his induction, at the beginning of February 1948, he served on various fronts as a soldier in the Alexandroni Brigade. Moshe participated in the Mishmar Ha’emek, Tira, Kakun, Kafr Kara, and Migdal Tzedek, and Migdal Tzedek fell on the 5th of Tammuz 5708 (July 12, 1948.) Moshe was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. All to Israel.
