In the rural community of Ramat Yishai in the Jezreel Valley, where he completed his elementary studies at Arazim Elementary School in Ramat Yishai and continued to the WIZO Canada Nahalal Agricultural School, where he successfully completed his biological studies. Since childhood, Avner has carried the qualities of a leader. He grew up when he was sixteen, when his father died of cancer after a year of struggle, a year of torment for father, mother and children. Avner took on the role of father, and supported his mother and younger brother mentally and economically: he helped to support the house, was the guide of his little twin brothers who were seven years of their father’s death, and cared for his two older brothers. His mother defined him as “the best person in the world, warm and loving, friend of all, true leader and true survivor.” “Avner was an amazing guy, a brother, a mentor, a good friend, a talented man, successful and successful and with an unusually wide heart.” Avner’s main hobby in his youth was hockey, and he was a regular player in the roller skating club at Ramat Yishai. He was involved in community activities and volunteered to help with the activities of the local community center, except for physical fitness, listening to music and reading, and there were many books of his poet, writer and publicist, Charles Bukowski. Avner successfully passed the Air Force’s pilot tests and six days of training at the Hatzerim boarding school, and on July 17, 2001, the day he enlisted, began the course. Unit 669 – The Rescue and Rescue Unit in the Airplanes The difficult and arduous training course that took place a year and a half was completed successfully, and Commanders hastened to send him an officer’s course. The officers’ course at Training Base 1 graduated cum Abner a team (regiment “vine”). Upon his return to the unit, he held a series of operational command positions in the unitary command core. He served as an additional platoon commander, and each of them commanded a team on the route, and later served as a training officer for a new training course. Avner was now commander of the whole training course – the commander of the training division at the Combat Rescue School – one of the central command posts in the unit. The commander of the unit said: “I chose Avner as the commander of the training unit of the unit, educating the younger generation, with the understanding that he was the right person and commander to educate the next generation of fighters.” In addition to being a superior commander of the first rank, “Avner was one of the pillars of the unit – the kind of commanders every IDF commander wants to serve under his command: a courageous, honest and courageous man who is always willing to bear full responsibility.” Three times passed Avner with his soldiers on the arduous track, which sets a very high standard of requirements: excellent physical fitness, daring and courage, thought and initiative, responsibility from The ability to analyze human character, good interpersonal relations, demonstrating leadership, high command ability, excellent functioning vis-à-vis the commanders, and the ability Transfer of authorityA. In all those years, which included round-the-clock training with little sleep and very few hours of home, the army and the unit were at the top of his mind, and always stood first. Avner, who was among the best officers, was awarded the Ofek project – a project in which the officers are sent to academic studies, and at the same time sign additional years of military service. Avner was supposed to begin a year of service in the General Staff camp in the Kirya in Tel Aviv as an administrative officer in the air force headquarters, and a year later to return to the unit as a combat unit. He is responsible and commander of all the unit’s fighters, The most senior position in 669 was a high-ranking appointment. After completing this role, he was to go to school. Avner completed his position as company commander, but continued to fill it for another two months in a new training course, replacing the company commander who was still in the course. When the course was over, Avner asked to take a month’s vacation before starting the new route. His commanders also recommended that he go out to freshen up and gather new forces, and allowed him to go on holiday in Thailand. During July 2008 Avner went on a one-and-a-half month trip to Thailand. From Thailand he moved to Laos for a few days and joined a canoeing on the Mekong River. It was a day-to-day route for boys, young men and women, a route that the local guides defined as calm and peaceful. Although the Mekong River is large and abundant, but it seems quiet and revolted, and its appearance did not suggest a malfunction. The cruise was conducted in pairs, and about ten canoes took part. The guide lacked one life jacket, and Avner Bardugo, the scorched warrior, volunteered to be the one who would not become aware that his chances of survival in the event of an accident were greater than that of all others by being trained for such cases. What began as a great pleasure became a nightmare. In a sharp bend in the river, eight of the ten boats, including Avner’s boat, turned. Avner disappeared into the river. His fallen friend managed to escape, and immediately contacted the Bardugos. Avner was declared missing. When Avner learned of his disappearance, Avner’s comrades joined the unit to search for him, and a delegation of four of them left for Laos on Saturday. On Sunday, additional teams of veterans of the IAF rescue unit left for the Mekong driver and joined the search efforts. The public around the country was mobilized to help, and many contributed money for the cause – to find Avner. In a grand rescue operation involving 669 troops, local villagers, Israeli volunteers who were in the area and the legendary rescuer, Hilik Magnus, the body was found three days later, three kilometers away. Avner was swallowed up in a great whirlpool as he fell into the river, and his forces were unable to cope with the elements. Capt. Avner Bardugo fell during his duty on 25 July 2008 and is twenty-five years old. He was laid to rest on 30 July 2008 in the military section of the Ramat Yishai cemetery. Survived by his mother, sister, and three brothers. On his gravestone, the words “rock whispers life” were engraved as evidence of Avner’s strength, which cracked but did not break and continues to flow and send out streams of life. On his grave, his mother eulogized him: “My Avner, my son is a loved one, I hear you say to me, ‘Mom, do not worry, do not you trust me?’ And I withdraw from my question, know that I really have nothing to worry about, I’m not angry with you, my Avner, because I’m sure you had no other choice, and your walk was not up to you, in your preferences or in your preference. You need your wonderful skills urgentlyYour incredible bravery and your infinite abilities, and could no longer hold back. I am sure that the tasks assigned to you in the other world require your immediate management and your total commitment, and therefore there was urgency in bringing you to perform them. You know, my beloved Avner, that you can count on me that things here will continue to run in an excellent manner. Occasionally I may stoop, maybe bend a little, but I will quickly pick myself up, straighten up, and carry on proudly. My diamond, you went to crown another crown, and as usual I trust you to be careful and shine with glory, knowing that if you can send us a long horn and provoke us with your aura. “I love you so much, Mom.” Commanding Unit 669, Lieutenant Colonel Matan Sagi: “Bardugo. The friends promised that all the people of the valley would come to say good-bye to you today – the valley of Asher from Margio suffocating and shaping your amazing personality. Thousands of precious people in Israel and around the world have been partners in your search – few people are so willing to give so much for them. … Our first commanding acquaintance began with a reprimand – to take command of the command post in one of our activities in the territories, and I argued to you: ‘How dare you take on such a task without your being assigned to it?’ Today, He knows and is certain that the commanders that every commander would ask for were the commanders whom every mother would like to command for her children, and the commanders that every soldier is blessed with: courageous commanders who are honest and courageous to take calculated risks while being prepared to take responsibility. And you – you never gave responsibility to others, and a year and a half ago you asked to meet with me and talk about the future Es Company Command Unit Training, educating the younger generation, and the day I realized how wrong was decided. We debated whether to sign for a long standing service, for how long, and most importantly, what would happen next. I told you: ‘Bardugo, come sign, let’s start, and who knows what the future holds?’ I said, and for a moment I did not think we could not implement the big plan. And Bardugo – I had a great plan for you! Hell yeah! My plan was to appoint you next year as the next soldier of the unit, and then – who knows – this is the first time you’ve heard this from me … Last week we received a message that you were given a place in the Rehovot military project, I want to tell everyone who has come to say goodbye to you today, two short stories about Bardugo, whom we knew – Bardugo, the father of the soldiers … One day I came in agitated to my office and told me about A soldier of yours who suffers from a severe financial distress, you asked me what could be done – and I did not give you a solution After a day or two I was told that you found the solution yourself – a solution in the form of several thousand shekels that you took out of your private pocket – as if you had surplus funds … Two months ago, during basic training, There were no sandals, and the day after that, you were already standing with new sandals that you bought from your money and you were worried that they would reach the soldier – of course, without knowing who bought them … Bardugo, you were the pillar of fire in front of your family and friends and one of our pillars. . ” The tragedy in Laos where Avner lost his life was covered extensively in the written and electronic media. When his body was discovered, many reactions of surfers who expressed their pain and grief over the disaster were posted on the Internet and wrote farewell words. “One of the best and greatest souls in this sad world,” wrote one of the surfers. Alex told him, one of them”He taught generations of rescuers, always first to every task, always leading, both for us and for the rescuers, he would do everything, turn the world upside down and risk his life for others.” The paramedics of Unit 669 wrote: “Avner, you will be with us on every rescue and evacuation flight, and you will be blessed with a great army and an excellent soldier, a first class rescuer.
