Bakari, Salomon (“Mas’ud”, “Ginji”)


Salomon, son of Rahamim and Esther Bakari, was born in the city of Aluad, Algeria, on March 1, 1941, and he immigrated to Israel in 1950. Salomon wanted to be among the first to serve in the Six Day War, and on May 6, 1967, the second day of the battles, in the battle that took place near the Rafah border crossing, Salomon was killed. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
