Yigal was an exemplary son, always willing to help the housework or his little brother with homework, and in the evenings he was in a hurry to help his father with his work.Yigal was an outstanding student at the Herzl elementary school in Holon and his excellent achievements in studies He was allowed to choose any school he wished to pursue in his studies, and his choice fell to Ort Yad Singelovsky, where he graduated After graduating successfully in Electronics and Computers, Yigal joined the IDF in early February 1987 and volunteered for a combat unit. At the request of his mother that he not enlist in a combat unit, he answered: “I always hear in your voice and do what I want, but I only ask you to stand in my way and allow me to contribute to the country as much as I can. On the 15th of Tishrei 5748 (October 15, 1987) Yigal fell in the line of duty. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents and three brothers – Ilan, Erez and Eitan.
