Azualus, Gad-Yaakov


Son of Yehuda and Dennis. Born on May 1, 1946 in the city of Fez, Morocco, he graduated from the Alliance high school and later completed his high school studies. I joined the Kibbutz Mashabi-Sadeh kibbutz and joined it for four years, and in July 1966 was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Armored Corps. During his service he served as a paramedic in the army and after he was discharged from the army, he continued to pursue his studies in chemistry, to which he had been drawn since his youth. In order to achieve this goal, he entered the School of Practical Engineers and Technicians of the Negev University in Be’er Sheva. He was a diligent student and was successful in his studies. But his studies stopped at the end of June 1970 when he was called up for active reserve duty. On the 27th of Sivan 5730 (2.7.1970), he fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rehovot.
