Azran, Solomon (“sochi”)


Son of Jacob and her son. He was born on August 10, 1931 in Casablanca, Morocco. In 1949 he immigrated to Israel from France, where he was a camp policeman and his dream came true. He was a sporty guy and worked as a sports instructor. A devoted husband was his wife and a good father to his children and gave them as much as he could. He worked in the Tnuva warehouse in Tiberias. For the first time, he was drafted into the IDF in April 1950. He participated in the Sinai Campaign and later went on to reserve duty, and during the Six-Day War he was also part of this framework and fought as a good and loyal soldier for his position. He fought valiantly and on the second day of the war-fighting, on the 6th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), fell during an attack in a battle in the southern Golan Heights, and left a wife and four children.
