Azoulay, Eliyahu
He was born in Kislev in 1956. After graduating from his parents, he was adopted and raised by the Chelouche family in Tel Aviv, and in 1945/6 he completed his religious studies at the Mikveh Israel Agricultural School, joined the Palmach and joined the recruits to Kibbutz Ginossar. In the hachshara he abandoned his religious sources and became one of the guys, admired by everyone, funny and laughing. When she moved to Kibbutz Na’an, she soon became absorbed in the new agriculture and was assigned to various branches. It seemed to him that here he had found some warmth he had been looking for all his short life. Work in the agriculture did not change its outward appearance. He remained thin and stooped, with a thick black hair, and his bulging eyes showed a deep sadness and a great cheerfulness in a mess. It was evident that his cheerfulness was only cover and disintegration to his Lev and soul, which were very sad. Elijah listened to classical music and gained great knowledge. When he was appointed in charge of the record evenings held at the training club, there was no limit to his joy. His mind felt open to music and he absorbed it in all its tones. On July 19, 1947, Eliyahu lost his life by shooting an Italian rifle that was in his possession and was put to rest in the cemetery on the kibbutz.
