Avraham, Naomi


Daughter of Benjamin and Berta. She was born on October 31, 1956 in Tel Aviv. She studied at the “Negev” elementary school in Jaffa and continued her studies at the Ironi V High School in Tel Aviv with the success of studying the secretaries. Naomi was a nice girl and loved everyone, and her relations with her neighbors and classmates were excellent. She was friendly and had a great and loyal circle of friends. At home Naomi was the eldest daughter, and so she knew how to serve as an example to her brother and sister and to be a source of pride for her parents. She loved her family, cared for them and helped them as best they could, not out of necessity but in love and will. In elementary school, Naomi discovered artistic tendencies and specialized in painting. For years she devoted many hours to this hobby and achieved considerable achievements. She loved literature and read many books, and in her spare time she loved to correspond with teenagers her age around the world. When Naomi graduated from high school, she began working for a law firm in Tel Aviv. Naomi was recruited to the IDF in December 1974 and was assigned to the Gadna Command, after which she was sent to a unit in the Tel Aviv area as a clerk “I met a quiet and pleasant girl who was frightened and afraid of what was expected of her in the IDF.” Within a short time she recovered, began to smile and showed signs of integration and release from the initial tension, and then we discovered a delicate soldier , Kind, diligent, devoted and responsible. ” On January 14, 1975, Naomi was injured while she was on her way to the military cemetery in Kiryat- Shaul left behind a pregnant father and mother, a brother and a sister, and after her fall the mother gave birth to a daughter and was given the name Anat-Naomi in memory of Naomi. Her family contributed to her memory the book Haftarot and other books, and a marble tablet of the synagogue in her hometown of Bat Yam.
