Avni, Yitzhak


Son of Shimon and Janet. He was born on December 5, 1941 in the city of Wesloi in Romania. Immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1951, and is ten years old. Yitzhak completed his studies at the Zion elementary school in Jaffa, and continued to study in the evening high school in that city. After completing his army service, he married and continued professional evening studies, first as an electrician and then studying electronics for the title of practical engineer. Yitzhak was drafted into the IDF on 3 February 1960. In his letter to the family, he told the family of the unit commander in which he served: “His direct commander respected him as a devoted and responsible soldier who did not spare himself any effort, and as a fighter with courage and courage … In our unit, a favorite of his comrades, loyal to his unit, and contributed greatly to the IDF system and to the good name of his unit. ” Yitzhak fell during his service on the 20th of Cheshvan 5735 (22.10.1974), was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Holon and left behind a wife and mother.
