Aronowicz, Daniel

Aronowicz, Daniel

Son of Maryna and Leon, Achiam and Yael. Born in Jerusalem on December 6, 1981. When he was four years old, the family moved to Nahalat Yehuda and in 1990 came to Karmei Yosef where they built their home. When he was 12 years old, Daniel joined the Yael family, and there was a lot of love between the two. And the funny thing is that he loved her and took care of her and wanted her to be like him, serious and modest (and if she could get him a voice from the fridge because he did not have the strength to get up) He did not bring him back to the store where the parents bought her.) Daniel attended the Ayalon High School and the Herzog High School in Beit Hashmonai, and despite his many years of studies, “I appreciated Daniel’s ability to co-operate and lead a team, whether in a learning activity, on a trip, or in a layered project, all in a pleasant manner with the restraint and calm that also forced the extrovert members to internalize and relax. “He said. Daniel did not talk much – he looked at the world and responded briefly. “Okay” according to Daniel was good and when he said that his mood “proper plus” meant it was really good. If he is not remembered for being a great talker (or even mediocre) he will be remembered for many other things, and perhaps mainly because of the smile that so characterized him – small and playful that says everything without saying a word. Daniel loved music. Looking back, there seemed to be music around him. Whenever he returned from the army he would fall asleep in the room while the music was still playing. His musical taste developed over the years but was always interesting and high quality. The last song he heard may characterize him better than any eulogy – “at noon” by Meir Ariel and David Broza. Daniel loved the outdoors and nature. On every vacation from the army he would go for a walk, navigate or ride a bicycle, alone or with friends. In the summer he would go out to the sea whenever he could, surf the waves or just hang out with friends. Daniel loved soccer and always compared himself to Eyal Berkovich. He would play every week in the village with whoever he could and would come back and tell about his conquests in the field. Daniel joined the Israel Defense Forces in December 1999 and began his career as a pilot in the Air Force in 2001. He loved life and did everything possible to live it to its fullest. Filled with laughter with such faces of a calm, calm and serene baby that is insatiable cynicism. “On September 12, 2002, Lieutenant Daniel Aronovitz was killed while on duty in a traffic accident at the age of twenty-one. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Carmei Yosef. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. A soccer tournament in memory of Daniel takes place every year on the lawn of Carmei Yosef, for which Daniel always dreamed but did not win to play on him.
