Amira, David


Son of Mos and Jamila. He was born on the 5th of Tevet, 5711 (5.1.1951) in Tripoli, Libya. In the year of his birth his family immigrated to Israel and lived in a transit camp near Hadera. David attended the “Tzafririm” elementary school in Hadera. He was kind and his teacher at the school notes that he was always willing to help others in whatever was required and when it was not required. Even when the family moved to another neighborhood, he continued to go to the same school because he remained loyal to him and was connected to the teachers. They appreciated him and loved him very much. “Loyalty and devotion, good temper and good Lev,” wrote his teacher. “These are the things that marked David when he was a little boy and even as he grew up and became a boy.” After graduating from elementary school he went to work as a painter and also excelled in this work. He was an outstanding member of the Gadna Air Club and was considered to be a member of the club in the neighborhood, and he was also a fan of all his friends, and was diligent in sports and played soccer in the Hapoel youth team. He was a quiet man who liked a company and spent time with his friends in the club, and he was interested in photography and was interested in photography, and was drafted into the IDF in February 1969 and volunteered to serve in the air force. On the 28th of Mershvan, 9/11/1969, he fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the Hadera cemetery
