Alul, Suleiman
Ben Fadia and Salem. Born on 14.11.1971 in the village of Aroer. Suleiman, raised and educated in the village. He began his studies at the Al-Hawashleh Elementary School and continues at the Ben Sina School, where he graduated in ninth grade. He began working for a number of jobs, the last of which was as a forklift operator at the Pericles plant in the Negev. This work lasted three years. Suleiman, belonged to the sport organization in the tribe, and played for a local team. He was kind and loyal to his many friends who loved him. At the age of 19 he married Sabha, and his two children – Hani and Naifa – were born. He volunteered for military service and waited for the moment when he would be integrated into the system as a tracker in the Gaza Strip, despite the risk involved. Suleiman, the third tracker in the tribe of Abu al-Gharunat, to which his clan belongs, continues a family tradition. His father, in his distant past, served as an inspector in a military unit. Suleiman was the most successful member of the family who surrounded him with great love. His father loved him very much and expected him to succeed in military service. On January 30, 1993, he fell while carrying out his duties. Two terrorists hiding in the thicket of the bushes fired at the patrol jeep that was busy opening a road in Gush Katif in the Gaza Strip. Suleiman was hit and killed. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in his village. Survived by a wife, son and daughter, parents, ten brothers and three sisters. Suleiman was promoted to sergeant after his death. The Minister of Defense, sent a letter to the bereaved family in which he expressed his condolences to the family. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote … “Suleiman was excellent at carrying out his position in the sector, as a responsible and serious investigator.
