Alon, Alexander (“Sasha”, “Alex”)

Alexander, son of Israel and Lily Alon, was born on October 6, 1946, in the city of Tomsk, in Russia. He was two years old when his parents immigrated to Israel in 1948. During the Six-Day War, he fought as a combat medic. He fell in a battle that took place in the Harutz Mountains in the Sinai on June 9, 1967, the fourth day of the battles. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
