Son of Aryeh and Chaya. He was born on May 2, 1957, in Tel Aviv, where he studied at the “Sh. In his hometown, Tchernichovsky continued to study at the Gymnasia Herzliya and completed his studies at the military boarding school in Tel Aviv. Yoram was a talented student and excelled in the real professions. He made his first years of high school in the humanities and the last years of his studies in the real world, and succeeded in achieving impressive achievements in this trend. Yoram was an avid sports enthusiast and a lot of practice and develop his physical fitness. He was one of the outstanding members of the military boarding school. He was the military chess school champion for four years. He even won the rank of player in the chess community, but was unable to devote himself to this hobby. From childhood, Yoram was, as his mother says, a critical child who looks at everything with open eyes and does not accept conventions, and used to examine each topic thoroughly. He had the qualities of a leader from an early age and already decided to serve as an example for his friends: he did not smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, and refrain from eating meat. He used to help his friends. During the parachuting training at the military boarding school, he preferred to fall and be hit in order to avoid hitting his friend who had fallen in front of him. Yoram successfully completed all the stages of studies and training at the military boarding school and before joining the IDF he went abroad with his friends, toured Europe and returned full of energy and full of impressions and experiences. Yoram was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in October 1975 and volunteered for the Armored Corps, completing a tank commander course and completing it as an outstanding trainee. When he completed the courses, he was offered a position in the center of the country, but he chose to serve in a field unit in Sinai. Yoram was an excellent commander and was highly respected by his subordinates and commanders. He took care of everything and was devoted and responsible for his job. He seldom thought of himself and of his comfort, and even when Hela hurried back to his unit to reinforce the staff of the commanders. On July 19, 1977, Yoram fell to the military cemetery in Holon, leaving behind his parents and three brothers, and was later promoted to lieutenant.In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of the brigade wrote: Yoram served as an example and a symbol for his soldiers and commanders and was a source of emulation. As a man of high personal morals, he led his soldiers like a pillar of fire before the camp.
