Albugen, Fival-Paul


Son of Hadasa (Adela) and Ze’ev (Wilhelm), was born on 19 March 1909 in Vienna, the capital of Austria, and in his city he received a high school education. From his early youth he had shown a tendency to relate to the book and when he grew up, he sent his hands in book trade. He was a Zionist from his youth and active in the “Ha – Koach” sports association in Vienna. Fiebel-Fowl remained in Austria even after the Nazi takeover and was one of the organizers of Aliyah Bet. In 1940 he immigrated to Israel with a group of immigrants, was caught by the British and held for a year and a half in the Acre prison. When he was released by the Mandate authorities, he volunteered for the British Air Force, but a month later he was fired from his service. Since then he has turned to civilian life in Israel, tried to establish himself in his previous business, and this was unsuccessful and he was doing various works. He supported his family with dignity and remained loyal to the values ​​he was raised on: love of literature and love of Zion. After November 29, 1947, he served in the Haganah in his home in Nahalat Ganim. During the operation “Danny” our forces took control of the Modi’in area, and when the second truce came into force, the area was seized. . On September 23, 1948, local Arabs, with the help of the Legion, unexpectedly attacked the outpost while violating the truce. The defenders of the outpost were surprised and forced to retreat in light of the enemy’s superiority, and many were injured in the severe retreat. The next day, our forces attacked and conquered the outpost. In this battle he fell on the 24th of Elul 5708 (24.9.1948) and was brought to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery, and was followed by a wife and two children.
