Abu-Asa, Medaan


Was born on January 1, 1953. He was a member of the Abu Raqayq tribe and grew up in Be’er Sheva, where he studied in Tel Sheva and was drafted into the IDF on November 15, 1973, where he served as a tracker. After compulsory service he continued to serve in the permanent army. Madan was a quiet and dedicated soldier. He performed his duties in a good and efficient manner and had a spirit of volunteerism. His commanders appreciated his devotion to the post and recommended his promotion, and he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. On October 13, 1981, while driving to perform his duties as a scout in northern Sinai, he was injured in a car accident and found his death. He was brought to rest in the cemetery in Tel Sheva, in the Abu Issa plot. He left behind a mother, brother, and sister.
